Biden’s acceptance speech was all around pretty good. Barring him saying nuke the whales, kill whitey, and invade the moon, he had my vote no matter what, but it was still refreshing to see a great speech. I would consider myself fairly (or very) progressive. I wanted Warren, Bernie, and Kamala in the primary, in that order.
Progressives: don’t be idiots. He has leaned left enough. I’d rather take 2 steps forward then 19 steps backwards. We’ll get there. Take the best option and fight to make next round have better choices. To go backwards negates all the progress being made and there IS progress being made. Democracy is a slow moving vehicle but if we can get past Trump I am optimistic of where this country can go.
If you still don’t want to vote for Biden, just remember this… Ruth Bader Ginsberg has had numerous cancer scares the last couple years. Are you seriously okay with rolling the dice on Trump getting more seats on the Supreme Court? Literally that ALONE should make you okay with voting for a Golden Retriever over Donald Trump (can we make that happen by the way?).
Biden seems like a decent man who cares about his country and understands the importance of the job. He will appoint qualified people who know what they’re doing and won’t break the constitution daily. He is undoubtedly qualified and I’ll be proud to vote for him come November 3rd, even if he was originally my 4th choice.
Also, Kamala is a badass. Watching her defenestrate Mike Pence on live television during a debate will be the 4 year therapy we all need. #BidenHarris2020
