Fundraising

Silver Spring Neighborhood Center

I currently serve as the Director of Philanthropy at the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center in Northwest Milwaukee. My job requires to pursue all avenues of development including grants, individuals, and corporate donors. I also am in charge of the marketing and would implore anyone who is interested to sign up for our weekly newsletter!

We are blessed to have a great relationship with many organizations throughout Milwaukee, including Johnson Controls, The United Way, the Milwaukee Bucks, The Harley Davidson Foundation, The Burke Foundation, and countless others.

Cardinal Capital Management, Inc.

At Cardinal Capital, I was the Impact Investments Officer. What this meant was prospecting and securing investments for social housing ventures. As many of our properties were specialty housing, the return on investment could not compete with “market rate” housing. My position was to sell the “social value” to investors. I would have to find niche investors who were interested in the cause as well as the property. For example, instead of getting a 12% return they may have to take 8%.

My greatest achievement was that I secured a $4M low-interest loan with the Disability Opportunity Fund out of New York City to support several social housing projects, such as seniors, low-income, veterans, clinic, and aged out foster kids.

Entercom (Madison and Milwaukee)

I generated more than $200,000 in revenue (radio and digital) annually across 2 markets and maintained 13 active larger accounts in collaboration with marketing directors and agencies. I built the portfolio of accounts from scratch using creativity as a method to sell.

If you’re unfamiliar with Entercom Communications, it is a national radio syndicate with stations in Madison and Milwaukee (103.7 KISS FM, 105.5 The Fan, 94.9 WOLX, 105.5 Triple M, and 99.1 The Mix to name a few)
